Oh Dae San (Dec. 2- Dec. 3)

 So I hit up 오대산 with 2 of my co-workers and my boss.

For those of you not familiar with the mountain, let me explain to you what it means:

오 = Oh
대 = comes from 대변 which means big shit in a way and so yeah we'll translate 대 to equal SHIT
산 = mountain..

So from my dope translation, 오대산 = OH SHIT MOUNTAIN... and yeah because it is an oh shit event while climbing this endless mountain.  (오대산 doesn't really mean oh shit or anything close to that.. it is actually a mountain inhabited by some famous Buddhist monks and stuff... they were pretty nice to us too...)

So anyways I look happy here but I will tell you... this was the hardest thing physically to do in my entire life.  It is about 3 KM up and yeah it ain't fun going up.  My chicken leg calves were about to break apart and I contemplated giving up many a times.  But somehow I kept on going and got to reflect a lot on my life on the way.  There were beautiful sights all over the mountain:

When I finally thought I was at the top, I found out that I was only about 20% up.  I was about to cry.  But I kept going and going and going and going.  About 1/2 way up the mountain I was so hungry and about to pass out.  But again, I kept pushing on.  And then after about 2-3 hours, I finally saw the clear blue sky untainted by any trees or surroundings.

Beautiful sight, aint it?  I got to see it for all of 2-3 minutes because it is FREEEEEEEEEEEEEZING up there.  As Steve Noh would say, My Frees are Toesing... (My toes are freezing).  It was one of the coldest days so far.. much below zero celsius... and also its the mountain top... so you can imagine how cold it was... on second thought, you can't.  It was that cold.  Anyways, before we ran down, we managed to take one victory pix:

Anyways, the next day, we had to go hunting and stuff and managed to catch a 꿩 or pheasant in English... I have pictures on my cyworld and other ones... go to www.cyworld.com/daybeat to check out the rest of the pix... it takes too long to upload everything... anyways everyone take care and be happy like always.  Oh, by the way, I really recommend a trip to a mountain to really clear your mind... just make sure it is a little shorter than this hike... because it is REALLY hard.. and if you don't believe me.. then go try it and cry your own tears.. hehe... one love.

Moment of Clarity

So Susan Oh came from America and I had so much fun kickin it with her.  I realized that high school friends are special.  When Jack came, I had a blast too.  Friends from one's childhood brings back great joy.  Problems from the past seem to dissipate with every shared memory and a simple smile from an old friend can restore the emptiness that was created with the passing of time.  When Susan Oh and Jack came, Jessica and Jane Ahn came out too.  When Eddie came out and it was like a Whitney reunion.  Also Priscilla came and we have our CPC connections.  I never had so much fun in such a long time.  So I wanted to say thanks to everyone who visited me and played with me.

Imma update this Xanga thing a little more and try to respond to everyone's comments.  I'm pretty lazy at that but know that all of you guys are dope peoples and that I'll try hard to get to ur xangas.  When I come in March or so, make sure to make some time for me.  I miss you all and am gonna find you.  BTW if anyone knows RIchard Im's phone number (duckie), please email it to me at davidwhang@gmail.com or just post it here..

Fantasy: NBA PICK ONE CHALLENGE

If you are like me and LOVE the lakers.. or at least the NBA, join my NBA Fantasy PICK ONE Challenge.  It's not as hard to manage as other fantasy leagues and this one is backed by nba.com and has great prizes...

join my league if you are going to join:

http://www.nba.com/fantasy/pickone2006/league.jsp?leagueId=52933

Now that being said, time to brag:

After day 1 of the fantasy, my man Lamar Odom has allowed me to be FIRST in the ENTIRE Fantasy league for one day.  Yup, yours truly was tied for #1 on the first day.  Now, I am tied for 5th place in the ENTIRE fantasy league.  Thank you Elton Brand.  Tomorrow, I got Nowitzki to go off on the Spurs.. they might dubb team him but what team doesn't?  I expect a big thing outta you Big Man.... I can't believe that I'm in the top 5 in this entire league.  Granted, it prolly won't last long since there are like millions of people who play in this league.  BUT, it makes this season so much more exciting.

ANYWAYS, GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
